Introduction
Hong Kong Whirltrend International Trading Ltd., short for Whirltrend, is a Hong Kong export and import company founded by Shine Zhang「張猛」and father Qijun Zhang「張啓軍」on February 14, 2012. Whirltrend, is inspired from the Chinese term「扶搖」(Fú Yáo in pinyin), meaning “fly upward quickly” and stemming from an article titled “A Happy Excursion”「逍遙游」by the ancient Chinese philosopher Chuang Tzŭ「莊子」(Zhuāng Zǐ in pinyin). As indicated in the upward motion of our logo, Whirltrend has very strong potential in export and import areas. Co-founder, Qijun Zhang, set up his first export business in 2000, growing and gaining experience and contacts during the past 12 years. At first, Qijun Zhang mainly conducted business relating to outsourcing and processing trade, giving him real experience in manufacturing and pricing of products involving a variety of industries including clothing and electronic goods. Shine Zhang, majoring in International Trade from Sias University, is familiar with Incoterms of international trade and marketing analysis of Chinese economy. At Whirltrend, we believe our competitive advantage in pricing and outsourcing can earn a share among a growing Chinese export and import industry and give our clients benefits to build win-win successes and harmonious relationships.

Mission: Open up market on clothing and electronic industries to the United States and Europe, expand and diversify our product line and clients aiming to establish a subsidiary in the United States in two years.

Target Market and Customers
China’s economy owns a rapid growth rate at present, and export industry plays a dominant role in economic growth. As Chinese government promises to hold to international trade reforms and freer border policies, it will bring more and more opportunities to China’s exporters and importers. Although Whirltrend is registered in Hong Kong, our main business is in the mainland of China. Our headquarter is in Luohu, Shenzhen, which is near to Hong Kong SAR. Whirltrend provides finished and all-ready products, such as T-shirts, business suits, work uniforms, leather gloves, shoes, bedding, electronics, ironware and chinaware, to name a few. Whirltrend also manufactures and outsources from samples that clients offers from factories. During the early stages of Whirltrend, we would like to focus more on export than import, which takes advantage of China’s competitive advantage in labor and resources. The product line starts from leather products such as electronics, gloves, shoes, and clothes, i.e. work uniforms and T-shirts. Whirltrend plans to diversify our product line and expand to more marketing sectors as growth occurs. For the first year of Whirltrend’s business, we aim to gain a good reputation from our clients and potential customers, and build authentic connections with them. Business Organization
Whirltrend, owned by Shine Zhang (son) and Qijun Zhang (father), has its foundation on a traditional Chinese family bond allowing all the energy and capacity to be put into practice. Qijun Zhang, General Manager, deals with daily affairs and orders and examination of goods. Shine Zhang, acting as Managing Director, takes charge of receiving clients and customs issues. We also hire customs specialists and an executive assistant to help deal with daily routines.
Financing and Accounting
As communicated already, Whirltrend is a family-based entrepreneur company, so all expenses start-up costs come directly from the company’s pocket. We gain what we gain, and lose what we lose. The business principle our family believe is that do what is right and gain what is fair to build trust among our clients.
